Rent includes Utilities and 50% off on Gallery Commissions. We also rent these studios out by the day or week for classes.This is a Handicap Accessible Building, with Off-Street Parking.    This newly restored and handicap accessible Historic building, built in 1907 as part of Baker Furniture Factories, features 6 rentable, working Artists Studios in the lower level. The main floor boasts a 1000 sq. ft. Art Gallery
, featuring the works of some of Allegan's finest Artists, displayed with beautiful Antique Furniture. Also on the main floor, the 2000 sq. ft. Fiber Arts Studio; Sow Spun Silk, the weaving shop and studio of Debbie Leverence.

Located at the sounth end ofWater Street
, in the Historic Milling District of Downtown Allegan, Baker Allegan Studios is the first step in the revitalization of this Historic District.

   Most notably, the Milling District was the Original home of Baker Furniture. Founded here in Allegan in 1893 by Seib Baker, Baker Furniture was taken to its world renowned status by his Son Hollis Baker in 1925. Baker operated in Allegan before moving to Holland Mi. in 1933
